Busking & Enjoyable Concert Visiting Nowon-gu Office and Park

Various Cultural and Artistic Performances for Autumn... Open to All Without Separate Reservation or Registration

Nowon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) will hold traveling cultural performances to allow residents to enjoy various cultural arts in celebration of autumn.

The "traveling" style cultural performances are a touring performance project that the district has been steadily promoting to provide residents, tired from daily life, with diverse opportunities to enjoy culture. Performances such as the Traveling Orchestra, Nowon Joyful Concert, and Traveling Busking have received great responses from residents.

In particular, the "Traveling Busking" and "Nowon Joyful Concert" allow anyone to enjoy high-quality performances without separate reservations or registration at major local hubs including the district office lobby, resulting in high satisfaction among participants.

The October performances of "Traveling Busking" will be held five times in total until the 26th. The most notable performance will take place at 3 PM on the 18th at the Haemalgeum Protection Work Facility. This is meaningful as it goes beyond previous performances held in major parks such as Bulamsan Azalea Hill and Satgatbong Neighborhood Park, by bringing the performance into the daily lives of people with disabilities in the local community.

The "Sseudam Sseudam Kalimba Ensemble," which will lead the performance, is a group composed of Park Eun-jung, the author of Korea’s first kalimba textbook, along with about 30 kalimba professional instructors nationwide. They consistently present various planned performances for culturally marginalized groups who have difficulty accessing performances due to spatial and temporal constraints, and will offer a warm stage that reflects the purpose of this performance.

The "Nowon Joyful Concert" will be held at 12 PM on the 31st in the lobby on the first floor of Nowon District Office.

This performance features soprano popera singer Gemma Kim and singer Lee Jung-bong, the original artist of the song "Eotteongayo." The program includes familiar OST songs to the public such as "When You Wish Upon a Star" (Disney Pinocchio OST), "Never Enough" (The Greatest Showman OST), as well as timeless Korean pop songs like "Sewol-i Gamyeon" and "Modu Da Saranghari," making it enjoyable for people of all ages.

Detailed schedules for the Traveling Busking and Nowon Joyful Concert can be found on the Nowon District Office website and the Nowon Cultural Foundation website.
