The Korea-Japan Business Conference is the highest-level meeting of the private business sectors of both countries. Since its launch in 1983, it has been held regularly and has made various proposals for the development of Korea-Japan economic cooperation. At this meeting, the economic organizations of both countries agreed to continue future-oriented cooperation in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations. Specifically, they discussed cooperation measures in digital transformation, hydrogen and other sustainable social realization, trade and investment, and future collaboration.

Minister Ahn emphasized, "On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic normalization next year, we will deepen Korea-Japan cooperation through the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit (Gyeongju) and the 2025 Expo (Osaka)." He added, "The government will also actively support the business communities of both countries to achieve cooperative outcomes in areas such as economic security cooperation, leading global green growth through the Carbon-Free Energy (CFE) initiative, and joint cooperation with third countries including the Global South."
