Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi Job Foundation, and Coupang Eats Launch Safety Campaign for Motorcycle Delivery Workers

Free Inspection for Two-Wheelers, Consumable Replacement Service, and Helmet Support for Safety Training Completers

Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi Job Foundation, and Coupang Eats Launch Safety Campaign for Motorcycle Delivery Workers Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation and Coupang Eats Service are conducting 'On-site Safety Training' for two-wheeled delivery workers.

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation have been promoting various programs since signing a business agreement with Coupang Eats Service on May 27 to improve the working conditions of mobile workers and spread a culture of safety.


According to the Gyeonggi Job Foundation on the 18th, as the first step, on the 8th, they held the "Two-Wheeled Vehicle Safety Awareness Improvement Campaign" at Hwajeong Station Cultural Square in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, providing free inspections and consumable replacements for two-wheeled vehicles. Additionally, at the Gyeonggi Mobile Workers’ Rest Area in Suwon City, a "Visiting Safety Education" session was conducted for two-wheeled delivery workers.


This campaign, jointly hosted by the Gyeonggi Job Foundation and Coupang Eats Service, offers free inspections and consumable replacements for two-wheeled vehicles to delivery workers who applied in advance, focusing on encouraging safe deliveries.


The "Visiting Safety Education" is conducted based on a teaching plan developed by the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, with experienced delivery workers serving as instructors to provide theoretical education. Those who complete the training receive a helmet worth approximately 100,000 KRW, supported by Coupang Eats Service.


Jung (in his 50s), who participated in the training, said, "We needed this kind of systematic safety education," and added, "I hope the education expands beyond the local community to a national level."


Yoon Deok-ryong, CEO of the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, stated, “The safety of two-wheeled delivery workers is an important issue for Gyeonggi Province and local communities. Through cooperation with Coupang Eats Service, we hope this education will establish a culture of safe delivery and further contribute to enhancing community safety.”


Meanwhile, on the 18th, the Gyeonggi Job Foundation and Coupang Eats Service will conduct a free inspection and consumable replacement campaign at the Labor Welfare Center in Yongin City. On the 23rd and 30th, visiting safety education sessions will be held in Uijeongbu City.
