Kim Se-yong, President of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (left), is signing an agreement with Jeon Jin-seon, Mayor of Yangpyeong County, on the 17th for the development of a general industrial complex.
The first general industrial complex is set to be developed in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) announced on the 18th that on the 17th, it signed the "Yangpyeong General Industrial Complex Development Business Agreement" with Yangpyeong County, where industrial complex development had not previously taken place, to establish the region's first industrial complex.
Through this agreement, GH will support the discovery of new project sites for regional development and the supply of industrial land. Yangpyeong County has agreed to actively cooperate in administrative support and attracting businesses. Key officials from both sides, including GH President Kim Se-yong and Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jin-seon, attended the signing ceremony held at GH's new headquarters in Gwanggyo.
In the eastern Gyeonggi region where Yangpyeong County is located, development projects have faced many difficulties due to overlapping regulations such as natural conservation zones, special measures areas, water source protection zones, waterfront zones, factory establishment restricted areas, and emission facility installation restricted areas.
GH President Kim Se-yong stated, "This agreement is expected to greatly contribute to creating economic opportunities and jobs within the region by establishing a general industrial complex in Yangpyeong, an area struggling with overlapping regulations."
