Busan Buk-gu Volunteer Center Linked Forest Healing Program
The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (Director Choi Deok-geun) operated a forest healing program on the 17th in collaboration with the Busan Buk-gu Volunteer Center under the theme "Stay Strong, Mind!" to commemorate Mental Health Month.
For 70 volunteer members who engage in various services ranging from lunch box delivery to emotional support, an emotional support program was conducted in the Busan Healing Forest to maintain a healthy mind and body, including forest meditation and aromatherapy for stress management.
Since April, the NHIS Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters has been running various programs to promote mental health in the local community, such as stress management for about 600 workplace employees and flower therapy for about 100 members of the Busan Buk-gu Mental Health Promotion Center and Childcare Comprehensive Center.
Director Choi Deok-geun said, "Through today's forest healing, I hope that the stress relief of volunteer members and the happier energy will be delivered to those in need," adding, "We will continue to discover and operate various programs to help restore the mental health of local residents."
