Born in 1960, the new CEO previously served as a member of the 8th and 9th Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and was the 10th mayor of Goyang City, Gyeonggi-do. During his eight-year term as a provincial assembly member, he was passionately involved in legislative activities, creating over 100 ordinances.
In his inaugural speech, CEO Lee Jae-jun stated, “Entrusted with the important role of CEO, I intend to surpass the achievements of the past seven years, establish the institution’s identity, and accomplish a new leap forward. I will lead the company in four directions: continuous development of new businesses aimed at infinite innovation and carbon neutrality goals, advancement of platforms and enhancement of profitability, and creating an organizational culture reborn through trust and creativity.”
Established in 2016, Gyeonggi-do Corporation was founded through joint investment by various regional economic organizations, including Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi-do Small and Medium Business Association. It operates entrusted support projects for various small and medium-sized enterprises within the province. Since 2020, it has also been operating the Gyeonggi-do public delivery app, Baedal Teukgeup.
