According to the city on the 17th, Park Nam-su, president of Gwangju Urban Management Corporation, and his delegation visited Gwangju City Hall on the 15th and delivered a donation of 13,831,230 KRW.
President Park Nam-su said, "I am pleased to donate money again this year with the warm hearts of our executives and employees," adding, "We will continue our efforts to support vulnerable groups."
On the same day, Lee Jae-beom, president of the Gwangju Bicycle Federation, and his delegation also visited City Hall and donated 3 million KRW, 60 bags of white rice (10 kg each), and 20 sets of mixed grains.
In particular, the Bicycle Federation raised the donation through participation fees and contributions collected during a charity riding event, adding special meaning to the donation.
President Lee Jae-beom expressed, "I thank the members who participated in the charity riding with good intentions," and stated, "We will continue to strive to promote the federation’s activities and the development of the local community together."
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "Thank you for showing interest in the neighbors in need in Gwangju City with the good purpose of helping neighbors," and added, "The donated money and goods will be delivered to those in need."
