Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon, Attends Opening Ceremony of Gyeonggi Northern Intellectual Property Center

Pocheon City held an opening ceremony for the Gyeonggi Northern Intellectual Property Center at Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark located in Jajak-dong on the 16th.

Gyeonggi Pocheon City (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 17th that the Gyeonggi Northern Intellectual Property Center was opened on the 16th at Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark located in Jajak-dong.

The Gyeonggi Northern Intellectual Property Center is an institution established to support the creation of intellectual property rights for small and medium-sized enterprises in the northern Gyeonggi region and to protect their technological capabilities. It is the third center established in Gyeonggi Province, following the Gyeonggi Intellectual Property Center (Ansan) and the Gyeonggi Southern Intellectual Property Center (Suwon).

The opening ceremony, hosted by Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark (Director Yang Eun-ik), was attended by about 100 people, including Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon, National Assembly member Kim Yong-tae, Commissioner Kim Wan-ki of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member Yoon Chung-sik, as well as representatives of related organizations and businesspeople.

Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon City, said, “Congratulations on the opening of the Gyeonggi Northern Intellectual Property Center, which will contribute to the creation of intellectual property rights in the northern Gyeonggi industry. Intellectual property rights are not just a means of protection but an important resource that enhances corporate innovation and market competitiveness.” He added, “I hope the Gyeonggi Northern Intellectual Property Center will play an important role in protecting the intellectual property rights and technological capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises in Pocheon City and help them succeed in the global market.”
