On the 17th, Google announced the launch of the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Academy' program for the first time in the Asia-Pacific region to support startups utilizing AI in fields such as healthcare, finance, security, and sustainability.
A total of 23 innovative startups from the Asia-Pacific region were finally selected for the AI Academy program. Among them, seven domestic startups were included.

The AI Academy is designed to support startups in advancing their AI solutions and business growth. It began with a three-day bootcamp held in Singapore starting from the 15th. A total of 23 startup founders from seven countries including Korea, India, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Pakistan participated.
Startups participating in the AI Academy program will receive customized mentoring sessions totaling over 170 hours with AI and cloud experts over three months, along with up to $350,000 (approximately 470 million KRW) worth of Google Cloud credits (GCP). They will also have networking opportunities with AI innovators across the Asia-Pacific region.
Among domestic startups, the seven finally selected are: CipherData, which develops an AI-based security operations platform leading efforts to strengthen corporate cybersecurity and personal data protection; Client, which supports companies in quickly analyzing various business documents using AI; TestBank, which developed the problem-solving note app Solve using AI technology that converts PDFs into digital content; HayanMind, which provides AI-based solutions to increase mobile app revenue; SmoreTalk, which assists brand marketing with an AI design assistant; Podonos, which offers automated AI model analysis for AI builders; and Sangun, which provides data-driven decision-making, automation, and efficiency improvements in the construction industry through AI and big data solutions.
