Gyeryong City Selected for Smart Village Project... Secures 280 Million Won in National Funding

Gyeryong City in Chungnam announced on the 17th that it has been selected for the '2025 Smart Village Distribution and Expansion Project' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, securing 280 million KRW in national funding.

This project aims to strengthen the child care system by establishing an 'AI Integrated Learning Care Service,' in response to the AI digital curriculum implementation plan scheduled to be introduced from 2025.

The city plans to build a smart video education system and smart AI digital education infrastructure to utilize digital textbooks for child care.

Additionally, various educational programs and AI-related English and coding learning devices will be provided to children using local children's centers, community care centers, youth centers, and complex cultural centers within the city.

A city official said, "With 280 million KRW of national funding secured out of a total project cost of 400 million KRW, smoother project implementation is expected," and added, "We will do our best to make Gyeryong a better place to raise children by establishing an integrated care service."
