On the 16th, during the 299th temporary session, the Seosan City Council in Chungnam conducted on-site visits to check the progress of key projects being managed by the executive branch.
On the first day of the site visits, all members of the Seosan City Council participated and visited the site of illegal landfilling in Seongyeon-myeon and the Technovalley area.
After inspecting the illegal landfilling site in Seongyeon-myeon, the council members received briefings from the Urban Affairs Division, Livestock Division, and Resource Circulation Division on the progress of administrative procedures and future plans.
The council members requested, "Please ensure that administrative measures regarding violations are faithfully implemented, and thoroughly manage and supervise these matters going forward."
The city council then visited the Technovalley area in Seongyeon-myeon.
At the site, a representative from the Transportation Division explained that, due to complaints from businesses and residents about a shortage of parking spaces around Technovalley’s commercial area, various solutions are being explored to resolve the parking issue.
The council members requested, "In addition to the alternatives discussed today, please gather a wide range of opinions from residents, carefully review them, and develop the best possible solution to resolve parking inconveniences and maximize convenience."
Chairman Cho Dongsik stated, "The council will continue to pay close attention and make efforts to ensure that the various complaints at the sites visited today are resolved so that citizens do not experience further inconvenience."
Meanwhile, the Seosan City Council plans to visit four major project sites by the 17th to check on their progress and collect materials necessary for future legislative activities.
