Two 11t Vehicles Deployed on Fixed Routes at Daejeon Plant
CJ Logistics and KT&G are promoting eco-friendly logistics by introducing hydrogen cargo trucks.
CJ Logistics announced on the 17th that it has newly deployed two 11-ton hydrogen cargo trucks in KT&G's logistics process.
This is the first time hydrogen cargo trucks have been introduced in KT&G's logistics. It is expected to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and raising awareness of eco-friendly power sources.
The hydrogen cargo trucks, which can travel 570 km on a full charge, will be deployed on fixed routes at the Daejeon plant, which can use the Cheongju hydrogen refueling station, considering fuel supply.
Meanwhile, CJ Logistics is actively engaging in hydrogen logistics. In June last year, it entered the gaseous hydrogen transportation business. Recently, it expanded its business area to overall hydrogen logistics by launching the country's first liquefied hydrogen transportation business.
Do Hyung-jun, Head of Sales at CJ Logistics, stated, "We will become a logistics partner that contributes not only to safe and perfect logistics but also to fulfilling corporate social responsibility."
On the 16th, Seo Dae-cheol, Head of KT&G SCM (fifth from the left), Kim Seong-gi, Sales Manager 3 of CJ Logistics (fourth from the left), and other officials are taking a commemorative photo for the operation of hydrogen vehicles at the KT&G Daejeon factory.
