Lotte Bio Signs MOU to Develop Industry-Academic Cooperation Program with Domestic Universities

Lotte Biologics announced on the 16th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of an industry-academia cooperation program with Korea Polytechnic University, Dongyang Mirae University, Yuhan University, Inha Technical College, and Jaeneung University.

Through this agreement, Lotte Biologics and the five universities will jointly promote various activities such as ▲joint development of customized education and training courses in the bio field ▲providing education to improve bio job competencies ▲expanding employment opportunities through the operation of Lotte cooperative classes, aiming to nurture bio talent. This agreement was made to guarantee students from the five universities employment opportunities in the bio industry, while Lotte Biologics aims to establish a win-win foundation that contributes to cultivating excellent professionals and alleviating manpower shortages in the bio industry.


These institutions also plan to operate special lectures and mentoring systems for employees through industry-academia cooperation, as well as promote research exchanges for technology development. Additionally, Lotte Biologics envisions efforts to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and the practical skills required in the field through industry-academia cooperation with domestic and international universities.


Lee Won-jik, CEO of Lotte Biologics, said, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity to promote linked development through nurturing specialized talent in the bio industry and strengthening industry-academia cooperation,” adding, “We hope this cooperation will also contribute to the advancement of the K-bio industry.”
