Mongolia Monra Mine 3D VR Experience Zone... Racing Simulator Event Planned

Geumyang will once again showcase its innovative battery technology, which has continued to make significant advancements, at the ‘2024 Future Innovation Technology Expo (FIX 2024)’ to be held at EXCO in Buk-gu, Daegu from the 23rd to the 26th.

As a leading local company in Busan, Geumyang attracted the attention of global automakers earlier this year by becoming the first in Korea to successfully develop the 4695 battery and subsequently demonstrating an all-wheel drive vehicle equipped with the 4695 battery. The company is expected to draw significant attention from many businesses and industry officials.

The ‘2024 Future Innovation Technology Expo (FIX 2024)’, an integrated platform for future new industries and technologies, is being held for the first time this year under the theme ‘A Better Future Shaped by Innovative Technology’. It combines the previously held ‘Korea Future Mobility Expo (DIFA)’, ‘ICT Convergence Expo’, and ‘Daegu International Robot Industry Expo’.

Furthermore, a record 463 domestic and international companies, including those in ABB (AI, Big Data, Blockchain), robotics, ICT, and semiconductors, will operate 2,071 booths, making it the largest expo to date.

Among them, the ‘Korea Future Mobility Expo (DIFA)’, now in its 8th year, is Korea’s largest integrated mobility exhibition. This year, 190 companies including Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Mobis, Tesla, Geumyang, Top Mobility, and Korea Aerospace Industries will participate to showcase their future innovation technologies.

At this exhibition, Geumyang will present a large-scale model of Gijang Dream Factory 2, scheduled for completion at the end of this year, as well as the R&D achievements of SMLab’s cathode material technology, which has reached a high-nickel content level of 97%.

Additionally, Geumyang will provide a 3D VR experience zone where visitors can explore the vast Mongol Monla mine, a key competitive asset of the company. Various visitor events are also planned, including a ‘racing simulator experience’ where attendees can feel the speed of future vehicles and interact with Geumyang representatives.

Lee Kwangyong, Vice President of Geumyang, said, “Recently, we signed a 2.3 trillion KRW, six-year Distribution Agreement for 2170 cylindrical batteries produced with Geumyang’s innovative battery technology with Nanotexa in the United States. As we continue to attract significant interest from leading global companies, we will use this expo as an opportunity to demonstrate Geumyang’s advanced technology and corporate value.”

Detailed schedules for the expo can be found on the FIX 2024 website. Those who pre-register by the 22nd can attend for free (on-site registration from the 23rd to the 26th costs 10,000 KRW for adults). Shuttle buses between Dongdaegu Station and EXCO will operate every 15 minutes during the event.

Hong Joonpyo, Mayor of Daegu, said, “FIX 2024 will become the largest expo in Korea where you can experience global innovative technologies the fastest.”
