Choo "North Korea's rude remarks and explosions indicate Kim Jong-un regime's impatience"
Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea on the 16th for creating the National Security Situation Inspection Meeting, saying, "They remained completely silent on North Korea's illegal provocations, so I don't understand why they suddenly started worrying about security out of the blue like a bolt from the blue."
During the mid-term inspection meeting of the National Assembly audit held that day, Floor Leader Choo said, "The security situation is serious, but the Democratic Party suddenly created the National Security Situation Inspection Meeting and is now stirring up a false equivalence argument that both South and North Korea share responsibility for the current situation."
He continued, "The Democratic Party has consistently remained silent on North Korea's illegal provocations such as over 6,000 trash balloons, landmine planting in the Demilitarized Zone, and missile launches," adding, "I don't know whether their purpose is to inspect the security situation or to incite security anxiety."
Floor Leader Choo also mentioned that North Korea has flown unmanned aerial vehicles more than ten times since 2014 to conduct reconnaissance south of the Military Demarcation Line, saying, "They are thoroughly silent about these illegal provocations," and emphasized, "The repeated shameless insults and explosions by the North Korean leadership are evidence of the Kim Jong-un regime's insecurity and impatience."

He also criticized Rep. Park Ji-won, chairman of the Democratic Party's National Security Situation Inspection Committee, for saying in an interview that "if we sent the unmanned aerial vehicles, it would be an invasion and aggression," calling it "essentially siding with North Korea by claiming that we caused the problem."
He said, "At times like this, the opposition party should refrain from acts that incite public anxiety and national division," and urged, "There is no ruling or opposition party when it comes to security. I hope the Democratic Party does not push national security into unnecessary political turmoil."
Regarding North Korea's demolition of the inter-Korean connecting roads on the Gyeongui and Donghae lines the previous day, he pointed out that "We strongly condemn the Kim Jong-un regime's anti-civilizational atrocity. The unauthorized demolition of facilities within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a clear violation of the Armistice Agreement and inter-Korean agreements," holding North Korea responsible for the demolition incident.
