Empty Water Tank Falls from Nearby Building Rooftop
Enters Through Hole in the Middle
A woman walking down the street in India while eating an apple was hit by a water tank falling from a building but miraculously survived. On the 14th (local time), foreign media such as Times Now and Gulf Today reported on a video that became a hot topic on social media (SNS) that day. The video, titled "An apple a day keeps the doctor away," has been widely shared and viewed not only by local netizens but also by people around the world.
In the video, a woman comes out of a building door and walks down the street eating an apple. Just as she takes a bite, a huge water tank suddenly falls from the sky and lands directly on her. The water tank, which fell from the rooftop of a nearby building, had holes at both the top and bottom. Fortunately, the woman slipped into the space between the holes, creating a miraculous survival scene.
A bystander who witnessed the accident immediately ran to the woman and checked her condition under the water tank. At that moment, the woman’s head appeared through the hollow part in the middle of the tank, and the man hurriedly pulled her out. The woman, showing her face from inside the tank, bit into her apple as if nothing had happened, while the man who came to rescue her looked toward the place where the water tank fell, making a gesture of disbelief. Another citizen quickly ran over to check on the woman’s condition.
The title of the video, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away," is a quote from an American proverb. It means that eating an apple every day improves health, but in the video, it seems to be used to imply that the woman, who was eating a health-beneficial apple at the time of the accident, avoided misfortune.
Netizens who saw the video commented, "The killing point is that she keeps eating the apple as if nothing happened," "It seems like she used up all her luck here," and "Glad she’s okay, but where on earth did that water tank come from?"
