Daejeon Science Festival Opens on the 18th... Held Under Five Themes

Daejeon City announced that the '2024 Daejeon Science Festival' will be held from the 18th to the 20th at the Daejeon Convention Center and its surrounding area.

The festival will be organized into five themed zones: △Forum & Exhibition Zone △Advanced Industry & Science Experience Zone △Science Experience Zone △Science Culture Zone △Daedeok Innopolis Meeting Zone.

At Exhibition Hall 1 of the Daejeon Convention Center, the National Science Museum will host the International Science Museum Symposium and Science Exhibition Industry Expo under the theme of "The Role and Challenges of Science Museums in the Era of Digital Transformation."

In the 'Advanced Industry & Science Experience Zone' at Exhibition Hall 2 of the Daejeon Convention Center, visitors can experience the Daejeon SAT (Satellite) Motion Attraction Space Travel Center and learn about local satellite technology from satellite companies. There will also be exhibitions and experience programs showcasing the achievements of research institutes and companies from Daedeok Innopolis, such as the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and Korean Air.

At the 'Science Experience Zone' and 'Daedeok Innopolis Meeting Zone' in Expo Science Park, activities such as Moon Boat, hot air balloon rides, and science busking will take place. In the Daedeok Innopolis area, visitors can also experience autonomous vehicle test rides offered by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute.

At the 'Science Culture Zone' in Expo Citizen Plaza, the 'Gifted Festival' and the 'Daedeok Innopolis Science and Technology Special Exhibition Experience,' where visitors can directly experience scientific and technological achievements from Daedeok Innopolis, will be held.
