Held on the 19th-20th... 6-Year-Old Ginseng Excavation, Sorting, and Sealing with City Hall Officials Present
On the 16th, Paju City in Gyeonggi announced that it will hold the '19th Paju Gaeseong Ginseng Festival' at Imjingak Square in Paju from the 19th to the 20th.
The Paju Gaeseong Ginseng Festival is Paju City's representative agricultural product festival held to raise awareness of Paju Gaeseong Ginseng and promote its benefits. The festival aims to widely publicize the excellence of agricultural specialty products and secure sales channels for them.
All ginseng exhibited at the Paju Gaeseong Ginseng Festival are 6-year-old ginseng, with quality control conducted throughout the entire process from cultivation, harvesting, selection, to sealing, supervised by public officials.
The city organized the festival programs around three themes: 'Enjoyably (things to see), Deliciously (things to eat), and Together (things to play).'
In the Enjoyably (things to see) section, various attractions such as the Jangdan Sam-baek Cooking Contest, Ginseng Pear Wrestling Competition, street performances, and closing performances will be held. In the Deliciously (things to eat) section, Paju agricultural specialty products, processed goods, instant processing, and specialty foods will be sold. In the Together (things to play) section, events that families can enjoy, such as ginseng auctions, circus playgrounds, and experience programs, will take place.
During the festival, three parking lots?temporary parking lot, Pyeonghwa Nuri parking lot, and camping site parking lot?will be operated free of charge. For visitors using public transportation, a shuttle bus will frequently run between Munsan Station and the Imjingak event site.
