Online or In-Person Application from 21 to 25
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is recruiting additional recipients for the Safe Warning Light support project to protect the safety of single-person small stores from various crimes.
The Safe Warning Light activates an alarm sound and external flashing light outside the store when the emergency bell is pressed during an emergency. It also sends an emergency alert message to up to five pre-designated guardians via Seoul City's application "Ansim-i".
Additionally, it is directly connected to the district's closed-circuit television (CCTV) control center, enabling quick response such as dispatching nearby patrol cars.
The district currently manages and operates Safe Warning Lights installed at 243 single-person stores within the area.
The additional support targets 20 single-person stores vulnerable to crime, such as nail salons, beauty salons, and cafes. Even if there are two or more employees, applications are possible if only one person is working due to shift work.
The application period is from 9:00 AM on October 21 to 6:00 PM on October 25.
To apply, download the application form from the district office website and submit it via email, or apply online using the QR code.
If online application is difficult, applicants can also visit the Welfare Policy Division at the district office to submit the application form in person.
Based on the submitted applications, the district will verify whether the store is indeed a single-person store and select the final recipients by the end of October.
A Guro-gu official stated, “Using the Safe Warning Light allows for quick help requests during emergencies, so we hope for much interest and use,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to create a safe city where everyone can live with peace of mind.”
