Nowon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will hold a joint festival for local youth called 'Cheongmiso' on the 25th.

'Cheongmiso' is the second edition this year, having integrated three previously separate events aimed at youth?the Youth Artist Market, Future Science Festival, and Youth Festival - Sowon?into one starting last year. After the first event was successfully completed with an expanded scale and enriched program quality, preparations have been underway since March through continuous meetings with related organizations.

In particular, following last year, the youth who are the main participants of the event also took part in discussions from the planning stage, adding meaning and aligning the festival’s perspective with that of the youth.

The venue, Hyesung Girls' High School (2 Nowon-ro 16-gil, Nowon-gu), will be transformed into a timeless amusement park on the day of the event.

The event is mainly composed of ▲Youth Startup Market ‘Youth Artist Market’ ▲Future Science Zone ▲Youth Festival ‘Sowon’.

First, the Youth Startup Market, ‘Youth Artist Market,’ serves as an activity platform for youth startup clubs, where young people operate booths based on their own ideas and creativity. The event will attract youth visitors with a variety of activities including the production of goods, crafts, and business items reflecting peer demands, face painting, makeup experiences, a simple snack bar, and demonstrations of board games developed by youth.

Next, the ‘Future Science Zone’ offers a rich program designed to stimulate scientific curiosity and imagination by allowing direct experience with cutting-edge future science technologies. About 70 experience booths will provide opportunities to try drones, robots, autonomous driving, virtual and augmented reality (VR, AR). Additionally, there will be spectator stages featuring rare drone swarm flights and robot group dances, as well as an AI photo studio experience.

Finally, the Youth Festival ‘Sowon’ centers on performances that showcase the talents of young people and create a lively festival atmosphere. Ten youth club performances selected through preliminary screening will cover various genres such as band, hip-hop, vocal, and dance, generously displaying the passion and skills of youth. Popular singer and YouTuber ‘Ryu Min-hee,’ who is gaining wide popularity among young audiences, and ‘Kyungseo,’ a top choice for various music festivals, will perform congratulatory shows to support the dreams of youth.
