A Place Where Future and Dreams Bloom... Yeongdeungpo-gu Hosts Youth 'Education Festival'

Youth Career Concert and Major Education Festival at Yeongdeungpo Park on the 19th at 1 PM
Commitment to Expanding Science and Technology Experiences with 'Special Science Education Zone' and 'Future Science Talent Development'

Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) will hold Yeongdeungpo's representative 'Education Festival,' where attendees can experience future science and technology content and career paths of the 4th Industrial Revolution, at Yeongdeungpo Park at 1 PM on the 19th.

This 'Education Festival,' which brings together science, careers, youth, and books, serves as a career concert for young people and a flagship educational event.

As the district has announced plans to establish a 'Special Science Education Zone' to lead the advanced era where artificial intelligence such as Chat GPT, robots, and autonomous driving is becoming mainstream, this year's festival features various future science and technology experiences. The goal is to elevate the potential of youth and provide a stepping stone for them to grow into leaders who will lead the future.

In particular, based on the slogan 'CHAT Popo: Connecting the Future,' the festival has significantly expanded 'participation booths' where visitors can experience future science and technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robots, and drones. This is to enable not only the main participants, students, but also children and families to experience and explore future science and technology.

The venue is broadly divided into science exhibition and experience, careers, books, and youth sections. In the science exhibition and experience area, over 70 experience booths will operate, including mini robot rides and robot soccer. The career section offers career exploration using virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI). The book section features activities such as book camping and making personalized book perfumes that add scent to books. The youth section showcases games and exhibitions planned and participated in directly by students.

Additionally, unique events for participants are prepared. After purchasing experience tickets at the information booth, collecting certification stickers from each booth allows visitors to receive various prizes such as AI photo shooting tickets and tasting ice cream made by robots.

Moreover, various rest and convenience facilities such as shade tents and chairs are provided to ensure visitors can fully enjoy the festival.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, "Through this education festival, I hope future dreamers can encounter advanced science and technology and creative thinking, providing a foundation to decide their future careers." He added, "Yeongdeungpo-gu will be a guide and a strong supporter for young people to grow into scientific talents who will lead future science and technology."
