On the 14th, an online community called ‘FM Korea’ posted a thread titled ‘I received bossam like this and left a strong review.’ The author, Mr. A, wrote, "The top 3 to 5 pieces were okay to eat, but the bottom part was just chunks of fat," adding, "I was angry and left a strong review."

The photo Mr. A shared along with the post shows the bossam he actually received through a delivery app order. More than half of the bossam, which appears to have about 7 to 8 pieces left, is dominated by white fat with hardly any lean meat visible.

Mr. A stated, "The top 3 to 5 pieces were okay to eat, but the bottom part was just chunks of fat." He added, "Since I ate about 5 pieces, I didn’t ask for a refund out of conscience. I picked out the lean meat from what was about 95% fat and 5% meat and ate only the meat. A refund isn’t important. From the seller’s perspective, they might think, ‘I didn’t think this would get caught, but it did. If I just refund, that’s the end of it.’ This is deceiving the consumer," he criticized.

He continued, "I’m not posting this to get compensation or an apology, but to urge all stores in our country to sell honestly. I hope restaurant owners who see this post will provide proper food. There was a big controversy about fatty pork belly in Jeju Island before, yet these problems still occur, so I wanted to raise awareness," he said.

Netizens who saw this reacted with comments such as, "He didn’t even get a refund for this," "That should be refunded," "If that happened to me, I’d go there immediately," "They must know it’s like that but still send it as is," and "The one-star rating and photo will probably have a stronger impact than a refund. I think the author made the right call."
