Goyang-si, Ilsandong Future Town Candidate Site Resident Briefing Held

Collecting Resident Opinions on the Ilsandong Mirae Town Management Plan on the 29th

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 15th that it will hold a residents' briefing session for Ilsandong residents at the Ilsan Nonghyup headquarters regarding the establishment of a management plan for the Ilsandong Future Town (small-scale housing maintenance management area) project underway in the area of 587-5 Ilsandong on the 29th.

The area around 587-5 Ilsandong is an old low-rise residential area with poor infrastructure and difficult large-scale maintenance, and it is a region that requires preparation for maintenance conditions after the cancellation of the redevelopment promotion district.

The city plans to explain the project to citizens and collect opinions through this residents' briefing session.

The residents' briefing session will be held on the 29th at 5:30 PM in the large auditorium on the 3rd floor of the Ilsan Nonghyup headquarters, located at 30 Ilcheong-ro, Ilsanseo-gu (Ilsandong), and anyone interested, including residents within the project area, can participate.

The small-scale housing maintenance project can significantly shorten the project period by omitting the designation of maintenance districts and the approval stage of management disposition. If designated as a Future Town (small-scale housing maintenance management area), living infrastructure such as roads, parks, and commercial facilities will be developed together, improving the deteriorated old downtown area into a higher-quality residential environment. In addition, the floor area ratio is relaxed, enhancing project feasibility.

An example of a small-scale housing maintenance project in Goyang City is the Famillier Apartment in Haengsin-dong, built through the street housing maintenance project around Gyeongwon Yeonrip, which was completed in a short project period of about five years and was occupied the year before last.

Meanwhile, the city is promoting the establishment of a management plan for the Ilsandong Future Town (small-scale housing maintenance management area) to improve residential conditions. In June of this year, a Future Town management plan was established for the area around 204-5 Haengsin-dong.
