The Uijeongbu City Commercial Area Revitalization Foundation (Chairman Mayor Kim Dong-geun) and the Dongo Village Merchants Association (President Kim Soo-gon) announced on the 15th that they will hold the 'Dongo Masil Festa' on the 19th.
This festival is promoted as part of the Gyeonggi-do Merchants Association's public project, the '2024 Gyeonggi-do Strategic Marketing Support Project,' hosted and organized by the Dongo Village Merchants Association with cooperation from the foundation.
First held in 2016 and now in its 7th year, this festival plans to offer various performances and programs under the theme of 'A Day Out in Dongo Village,' allowing citizens to enjoy the village's distinctive food and drinks together.
In addition to abundant stage performances held at the Dongo Village public parking lot, more than 30 flea markets and various experience booths such as 'face painting,' 'keyring making,' and 'caricature' will be operated.
Furthermore, a random prize event will be held for those who present receipts from participating businesses, and a local currency payback event linked with Uijeongbu City's 'Dongo Masil RUN' event will add more fun to the festival.
Chairman Kim Dong-geun stated, "I hope that through the two events, Dongo Masil Festa and Dongo Masil RUN, citizens will visit Dongo Village, enjoy the commercial area, and fully appreciate the autumn season."
Meanwhile, the Dongo Masil Festa is free for all citizens to participate in.
