Pocheon City and the National Cancer Center conducted a smoking cessation campaign on the 14th at Zero Corporation Co., Ltd. located in Soheul-eup. On the 15th, Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) and the National Cancer Center (National Smoking Cessation Support Center) announced that they conducted a smoking cessation campaign on the 14th at Zero Corporation located in Soheul-eup.
The National Cancer Center, designated as the Northern Gyeonggi Smoking Cessation Support Center, provides services to assist smoking cessation, including inpatient smoking cessation treatment and weekend education.
On this day, both organizations worked to promote citizens' health by measuring blood pressure, cholesterol, conducting vascular age tests, providing smoking cessation counseling, and promotional activities.
Jung Yeon-oh, Director of the Public Health Center, said, "We hope this campaign will contribute to creating a smoking cessation culture in various industries within the jurisdiction and serve as an opportunity to reduce the smoking rate in Pocheon City."
Meanwhile, the Pocheon Public Health Center operates a smoking cessation clinic that offers customized smoking cessation counseling, smoking cessation aids, and behavioral therapy for smokers. Additionally, it conducts outreach smoking cessation clinics targeting schools, industrial sites, and military units, carrying out various activities to create a smoke-free environment in the community.
