Suncheon Beauty Festa to be Held at Suncheonman Garden on the 19th

Beauty Contest and Animation Character Parade Held

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Nogwan-gyu) announced that it will hold the ‘2024 Suncheon Beauty Festa’ on the 19th at the Suncheonman Ecological Culture Education Center and the East Gate of Suncheonman National Garden.

This event is hosted by Suncheon City and organized by the Suncheon Branch of the Jeonnam Chapter of the Korea Skin Beauty Association, aiming to introduce the local K-Beauty culture, revitalize the beauty-related industry, and nurture talents such as students from local beauty departments.

Suncheon City will hold the "2024 Suncheon Beauty Festa" on the 19th at the Suncheon Bay Ecological Culture Education Center and the East Gate of Suncheon Bay National Garden.

Starting with the opening ceremony featuring a beauty animation character show at the Suncheonman Ecological Culture Education Center on the 19th, the event will include beauty competitions, hygiene education, a beauty industry exhibition, and citizen experience booths.

The beauty competition targets local beauty industry workers and students, divided into general and student categories across 22 events in five fields: skin, hair, nails, eyelashes, and makeup. Outstanding beauty professionals from this competition will be awarded honors such as the Jeollanam-do Governor’s Award and the Suncheon Mayor’s Award after evaluation.

At the beauty industry exhibition, which involves 16 companies, beauty demonstrations, product promotions, information for job creation, and job counseling will be provided. Various experience events such as scalp health diagnosis and personal color diagnosis will also be held for visitors.

From 2 p.m., an animation character cosplay parade featuring 15 citizen models will take place at the East Gate of Suncheonman National Garden, offering surprise photo opportunities with visitors. Additionally, various attractions such as nail art and face painting booths will be available for enjoyment.

A Suncheon City official stated, “We will make various efforts and provide support so that the city can lead K-Beauty.”
