The Heyri Village bus stop transformed into the 'Parangi Art Museum,' featuring Paju City's official character. A bus stop near Heyri Village in Paju City, Gyeonggi Province, will be transformed into the 'Parang-i Art Gallery,' featuring the city's official character.
According to Paju City on the 15th, the city plans to convert 10 bus stops near Heyri Village into art galleries by the end of October, utilizing the friendly city official character 'Parang.'
This project is part of the 'Bus Stop Aesthetic Improvement Project' and was designed to create a specialized street environment. The goal is to transform bus stops, which are representative public facilities frequently used by citizens, from simple waiting areas into citizen participatory spaces.
Once completed, the atmosphere of the bus stops will be newly refreshed, providing citizens with new enjoyment. The city plans to collaborate with the Tourism Division to promote the project through various media, including social networking services (SNS), so that these stops can become one of the distinctive features of Heyri Village.
Park Han-su, Director of the Bus Policy Division, said, "Through the 'Parang-i Art Gallery,' we hope that bus stops, often regarded as mere waiting places, will be perceived as unique spaces reflecting the identity of Paju City."
