The “2024 Haengju Hanwoo Charcoal Grill Festival,” sponsored by Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) and organized and hosted by the Goyang Livestock Cooperative, will be held on the 19th and 20th at 153-52 Jugyo-dong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang City (behind the Goyang Fire Station).
The Haengju Hanwoo Charcoal Grill Festival is an event designed to promote the excellence of livestock products from Goyang Special City and to foster and publicize competitive livestock power brands. The festival features a variety of attractions including ▲ celebratory performances ▲ promotional booths by livestock type ▲ direct sales market ▲ Hanwoo charcoal grill area.
In particular, at the direct sales market, various livestock products such as Haengju Hanwoo, pork, honey, and eggs will be sold at a 30% discount to allow customers to purchase high-quality livestock products at affordable prices.
Haengju Hanwoo is an excellent livestock product from Goyang Special City and won the Presidential Award for the first time in the northern Gyeonggi region at the 12th National Hanwoo Ability Evaluation Contest in 2009. It is raised by breeding superior calves with genetic traits through a special feeding management program, resulting in a very high rate of grade 1 or higher beef (84%).
A Goyang City official said, “We hope this event will widely promote the excellence of Goyang Special City’s livestock industry and play an important role in the development of the livestock sector.”
