Gangnam-gu to Host Apgujeong Rodeo Festival on the 19th

Sale Festa Offering 10~50% Discounts from the 19th to 23rd

Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) announced on the 15th that it will hold the Apgujeong Rodeo Festival at Dosan Park from 12 PM to 8 PM on the 19th, and will also run a Sale Festa from the 19th to the 23rd.

Every year, the district plans various festivals in collaboration with Apgujeong Rodeo merchants to revitalize the commercial area. This year’s festival, under the slogan ‘POP! MOVE’, embodies the Apgujeong Rodeo commercial district itself as a pop-up concept.

At the Flea Market Zone, 50 small business vendors will participate, selling clothing, household goods, design accessories, stationery, perfumes, and more, reflecting the latest trends. Additionally, to raise awareness of recent carbon neutrality issues, there will be a community-driven Ana-bada market and about 10 experience programs including eco-friendly booths from four companies. The Food Zone will feature five food trucks offering a variety of foods.

On the outdoor stage at Dosan Park, busking performances such as pop opera and bands will be held from 12 PM to 4:30 PM. The main performances will take place from 5:55 PM to 8 PM, featuring Lee Hee-ju’s Disney OST, Fly to the Sky’s Hwanhee’s ballads, and a performance by the Dosan Wind Orchestra.

From the 19th to the 23rd, the Sale Festa will be held with participation from Apgujeong Rodeo businesses. Participating stores will place signboards at their entrances and sell products at discounts ranging from 10% up to 50%. This festival will also include the Small Business Companion Market to create a richer event. Twenty-two businesses will operate an on-site market on the street from Exit 6 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station to the Romeo Statue on the 19th and 20th, and will explore sales channels through live commerce.

District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “The Apgujeong Rodeo Festival is a festival created together by residents and merchants, and we hope it will revitalize the local commercial area while providing a special day for district residents.” He added, “We will continue to discover various contents to promote commercial area revitalization and regional economic development.”
