Rich Attractions and Enjoyable Activities Including Cultural Performances and Experience Booths Prepared

Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will hold the ‘Green Jungnang Festival’ on the 19th around Myeonmok Station Plaza.

This event is being held for the second time this year, aiming to promote communication and harmony among various resident organizations, as well as to encourage eco-friendly production and consumption and resource circulation activities within the local community.

In particular, all elements of the festival were designed with sustainable alternatives in mind, creating an eco-friendly environment. The booths are made from eco-friendly wood materials, and an upcycling market featuring products designed and created from recycled materials is also prepared.

The festival starts at 10 a.m. and is organized to allow residents to directly participate and enjoy diverse programs such as ▲experience booths ▲sales booths ▲emotional photo zones.

Especially, various educational and experiential programs for family units will be offered. Activities such as making pet collars and crafting items using recycled materials will be provided.

Additionally, visitors can find various products and services produced and sold by social enterprises, including household items made from leftover fabric and extracts of omija and maesil.

Furthermore, unique exhibition plans by residents and various cultural performances are arranged throughout the event venue, expected to provide visitors with an enjoyable and meaningful time.

Since this event was prepared together by social economy enterprises, resident organizations, and village activists within the region, it is expected to be an opportunity to experience the distinctive characteristics and culture of Jungnang-gu’s community activities.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “It is meaningful that various village organizations and social economy enterprises contributing to community development communicate and build friendships together,” adding, “Through realizing values of creating and sharing together, I hope that the public and private sectors will develop together.”
