Uijeongbu City Installs LED Street Lighting Facilities at 5 Locations

A pedestrian walkway between Singok Foresta View Apartment, where Uijeongbu City installed light-emitting diode (LED) street lighting facilities, and Cheonggwang Heights Villa Complex to provide a bright and safe nighttime walking environment.

Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 14th that it has carried out a project to improve sections lacking road lighting facilities in order to provide a bright and safe nighttime walking environment.

The target section of this project is a sidewalk of about 250 meters between Singok Foresta View Apartments and Cheonggwang Heights Villa Complex. Uijeongbu City installed five light-emitting diode (LED) road lighting facilities to allow residents to walk brightly even at night.

This area had long raised concerns about safety and crime incidents at night due to the absence of road lighting facilities.

Uijeongbu City plans to continue addressing nighttime safety blind spots by conducting regular nighttime patrols and inspections to thoroughly investigate sections lacking road lighting facilities.
