It was reported on the 14th that former President Moon Jae-in posted a congratulatory message for novelist Han Kang's Nobel Prize in Literature on the paid members-only board of 'Pyeongsan Bookstore,' which he operates.

Former President Moon posted messages related to Han Kang on the board accessible only to paid members of Pyeongsan Bookstore on the 11th and 13th.

On the 11th, he wrote, "I celebrate Han Kang's Nobel Prize in Literature with my book friends," adding, "I have always thought Han Kang was the closest writer to the Nobel Prize in Literature, and finally, this day has come."

On the 13th, he wrote, "There are people who say they cannot bear to read Han Kang's works 'The Boy Who Escaped' and 'I Will Not Part,' so I am posting this," and added, "When we empathize with pain, it becomes true comfort and a resolution for the victims."

He continued, "How about thinking that we should not avoid pain but face it directly?" and emphasized, "(This) is also necessary to properly understand history and to be angry at unjust history."

It appears that former President Moon posted these reflections on the paid members-only board of Pyeongsan Bookstore due to concerns over his daughter Dahye's drunk driving controversy. Since the 2nd, there have been no posts on public social media platforms such as Facebook, where he frequently posted.
