"Drinking the Island"... Yeosu Wine & Spirit Festa to be Held on the 17th

From the 17th to 19th at Yeosu World Expo Site
67 Companies Including Wine Importers Participate

The '2024 Yeosu Wine & Spirit Festa' will be held under the theme 'Drinking the Island' for three days from the 17th to the 19th at the Aquarium Plaza area of the Yeosu World Expo Site.


Hosted by Yeosu City and organized by the Beommin Cultural Foundation and Inter-Burgo Group, among others, the event saw participation from 67 companies, with the world-renowned winery 'Marques de Vargas' joining to raise expectations.

On the day, about 60 booths featuring wine, whiskey, craft beer, and traditional liquor tastings and sales will be set up, along with food trucks offering pairings for each type of drink and a specialty product free market.


Additionally, performances by the domestic 'Rola Flamenco' team, known for their Spanish traditional dance 'Flamenco,' local jazz pop artists, and a recorded performance of MBC's Trot Class will be prepared to allow visitors to enjoy the Yeosu night sea and wine with all their senses.


Side events include the 'Island Makgeolli School' by Kang Chang-hoon, CEO of Nangdo Brewery, and the 'Cruise & Yacht Onboard Wine Festa' operated by various shipowners.


A city official said, "Inspired by the commonality that wine and makgeolli are fermented beverages, we have prepared various ways to enjoy the taste and charm of Yeosu," adding, "We will do our utmost to establish this as a representative festival of Yeosu."
