Hanseo University Wins Grand Prize at Local Issue Resolution Camp

12 Hanseo University Students Awarded

Hanseo University won the grand prize at the Regional Problem-Solving Camp.


According to Hanseo University on the 14th, the university received the grand prize at the "Local Chronicles Geography-Based Regional Problem-Solving Business Model Discovery Camp in Buyeo," jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education, the National Research Foundation of Korea, Gyeongnam National University, Hanseo University, eight other universities, and two organizations.


The "Local Chronicles Geography-Based Regional Problem-Solving Business Model Discovery Camp in Buyeo" was held from the 26th to the 28th of last month at Buyeo Lotte Resort. It is a university-local government linked talent development program aimed at discovering problems and generating ideas to revitalize commercial districts for the local economy and residential stability.

A total of 12 Hanseo University students participated in this program. The grand prize was awarded to student Siwoo Kwon (Department of Fashion Design, Class of 2021). The excellence awards went to Eunju Choi (Department of Visual Design, Class of 2021), Myungjin Go (Department of Design Convergence, Class of 2021), Geon Lee (Department of Aviation Software Engineering, Class of 2023), Sangdeok Ha (Department of Aviation Maintenance, Class of 2024), and the merit awards were given to Siyoung Yoon (Department of Aviation Industrial Engineering, Class of 2023), Jimin Jang (Department of Aviation Industrial Engineering, Class of 2024), Seomin Kang (Department of Helicopter Piloting, Class of 2023), Yuchan An (Department of Aviation Software Engineering, Class of 2023), Juwon Lee (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Class of 2024), Soyeon Hwang (Department of Social Welfare, Class of 2024), and Gayun Lee (Department of Spatial Design, Class of 2024).


Professor Gitae Kim, Director of the Employment and Startup Support Center, stated, "Through this camp, it was a meaningful time to study local areas in need of economic revitalization and to concretize and verify startup items based on local values." He added, "We will continue to work harder to nurture talent for regional economic revitalization in cooperation with local governments."
