Pyeongtaek City "Successful Completion of Hanmi Harmony Festival"

Held at Ichung Sports Park and Humphreys Base
Showcasing Various Exchange Programs Including US Military Base Opening

Gyeonggi-do Pyeongtaek City announced on the 14th that it successfully held the "Let's Go Together! Korea-US Harmony Festival," which took place over three days from the 11th to the 13th at Ichung Sports Park and in front of the Humphreys base in Paengseong-eup.


The event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gyeonggi Province, and Pyeongtaek City, and organized by the Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation, was attended by approximately 40,000 people, including US Forces Korea personnel, Pyeongtaek citizens, and tourists, the city explained.

At the festival, on the 11th at Ichung Sports Park, the KBS Open Concert under the theme "The Future of the Korea-US Alliance, Together with Pyeongtaek," co-hosted with the ROK-US Combined Forces Command, kicked off the event, followed by various programs including the US military base opening event "Fall Fest," experience booths, food stalls, and events. In particular, the city added that about 150 volunteers supported the event on-site during the festival period, successfully concluding the event without any safety incidents.


Jung Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek City, said, "This festival was a meaningful event where the Pyeongtaek community and US Forces Korea came together," and added, "We expect the festival to continue to establish itself as a symbol of peace and harmony through ongoing cooperation."
