Geochang County, Gyeongnam, announced on the 14th that it held a basic accounting practical training session for the second half of the year at the main conference room of the Geochang-eup Administrative Welfare Center, targeting more than 100 staff members in charge of accounting and related duties from each department.
The county conducts basic accounting practical training sessions in the first and second halves of each year to enhance the understanding of accounting tasks and improve the job competency of accounting officers and supervisors of construction and service projects.
For the training, the county invited Jo Yangje, a sub-manager of the Naver Budget and Accounting Caf?, which has 300,000 members, and an instructor from Gonggonggyeyak Research Institute Co., Ltd., to provide practical education on the overall accounting process, including accounting systems, expenditure execution, and contracts for goods, construction, and services.
Geochang County has entered into a public contract consulting service agreement to compensate for the lack of expertise among staff caused by frequent legal revisions and personnel changes. In addition, the county is making continuous efforts to ensure sound fiscal management and transparency through regular accounting practical training sessions in both the first and second halves of the year.
County Governor Koo Inmo stated, "Accounting work is an important task carried out according to budget execution methods and procedures, where expertise and responsibility are emphasized," adding, "I hope that the expert training sessions held in the first and second halves of the year will serve as a valuable opportunity to enhance job competency for fair and proper accounting practices."
