Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital Successfully Hosts Dream Tree Sports Festival to Celebrate 30th Anniversary

A total of 2,200 participants, including children from 70 local child centers, multicultural and Saeteomin families in the province

Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital successfully held the 2024 Dream Tree Sports Festival at the Changwon Auxiliary Stadium.

The sports festival, which took place on the 12th, has been a social contribution event since the hospital’s opening in 1994, and this year’s event was even more meaningful as it coincided with the hospital’s 30th anniversary.

Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital held the Dream Tree Sports Festival.

The event was hosted and organized by Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital, Sangnam Hanmaeum Hospital, Grand Mercure Ambassador Changwon Hotel, and Masan Municipal Nursing Hospital, with about 2,200 children and staff members attending. Over 30 local volunteer organizations participated, filling the event with a variety of food and activities.

In the morning, four main events were held: a 50-meter dash for elementary students, a 100-meter dash for middle and high school students, limbo, and hula hoop. In the afternoon, there were team events such as six-legged races and tug-of-war. Around the stadium, a variety of food including fish cakes, tteokbokki, chicken skewers, slushies, fried chicken, and bungeoppang was provided, adding to the enjoyment of the festival.

Towards the end of the festival, an awards ceremony for the pre-held drawing contest and a raffle were held. Through a survey, a wide range of prizes such as dolls, toys, sports equipment, and electronic devices were prepared, allowing even those who didn’t win in the games to leave with a smile.

Ha Changhun, Director of Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital, stated, “Hanmaeum has received love from the local community because we have consistently practiced the values of love and service. We will continue our social contribution efforts for generations to come.”

Meanwhile, at this year’s 2024 Dream Tree Sports Festival, various organizations participated with booths, including Hanmaeum Housewives College, Seoul Gijeon Electrical Construction (talent donation), DN Solutions Bukduchilseong Volunteer Group, Changwon Jungbu Police Station Youth Guidance Committee, Changwon Plaza Rotary Club, Saechangwon Rotary Club, Changwon Post Office Hanultari Association, Seongsan Fire Station Oedong Volunteer Fire Brigade, Namchangwon Nonghyup, Sangnam Church, Gyeongnam Christian Federation, Nonghyup Bank Gyeongnam Branch, Gyeongnam Women’s Capacity Development Center Volunteer Group, Sharing the World, Korea Beauty Association Changwon Special City Branch, Masan Municipal Nursing Hospital, Changwon YWCA, and Shinhan Bank Gimhae Financial Center. Financial and material support was provided by Busan Bank Changwon Branch (budget support), Gyeongnam Bank Changwon Branch (budget support), Suhyup Bank Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (budget support), NH Investment & Securities Changwon WM Center (material support), and Ourhome (material support), with over 30 local volunteer organizations participating in total.
