Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 15th that it will list the ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF), operated in collaboration with Life Asset Management.
The ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active ETF selects and invests in large-cap value stocks listed on the domestic stock market with high potential for shareholder value improvement. The benchmark index is the 'FnGuide Corporate Value Index,' calculated and published by FnGuide. This product is meaningful as it is launched jointly by Korea Investment Trust Management, which pursues 'customer value,' and Life Asset Management, which aims to enhance 'shareholder value.'
This is the first time an ETF has been launched through collaboration between domestic asset management companies. Life Asset Management, led by Chairman Lee Chaewon, a first-generation value investor in Korea, provides investment advisory for this ETF through quantitative and qualitative stock analysis. Korea Investment Trust Management selects stocks analyzed by Life Asset Management and is responsible for constructing a portfolio of around 40 stocks and managing the ETF.
The reason Korea Investment Trust Management chose to collaborate with Life Asset Management is that the ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active ETF can exercise shareholder rights when necessary. To exercise friendly shareholder rights through cooperation among shareholders, it is essential to propose sustainable corporate growth strategies through meetings with company management. The experience of Life Asset Management, Korea's first specialized shareholder cooperative asset management company, was deemed highly beneficial.
Lee Chaewon, Chairman of Life Asset Management, said, "The ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active ETF invests selectively in undervalued stocks with excellent business fundamentals, potential for corporate value enhancement, and ideas to improve shareholder value," adding, "It aims to contribute to promoting the revaluation of the overall Korean stock market."
Paik Jae-gyu, President of Korea Investment Trust Management, emphasized, "One way to boost the Korean stock market is for companies to raise stock prices through shareholder-friendly policies," and added, "The ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active ETF is a product designed to allow long-term investment perspectives in the domestic stock market."
He continued, "The meeting of two companies that prioritize 'customer value' and 'shareholder value' is expected to create synergy and lead to positive results," and said, "The ACE Life Shareholder Value Active ETF will be an attractive choice for those who want to invest in value stocks through retirement pension accounts."
The ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active ETF is a performance dividend-type product, and investors should be aware that principal loss may occur depending on the management results.
