Wonju City, '70th Anniversary of City Promotion Commemorative Slogan' Contest

70th Anniversary of City Promotion Next Year... Applications Accepted from Today Until the 29th
Nationwide Participation Possible... Grand Prize Awarded with 1 Million Won

Wonju City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Won Gang-su) announced on the 14th that it will hold a citizen participation slogan contest until the 29th to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the city's elevation next year.

The contest theme is a slogan commemorating the 70th anniversary of Wonju City's elevation and aiming for a new future. The slogan should be an easy and concise phrase within 20 characters that can resonate with citizens.

Any citizen of the Republic of Korea can participate, and from today (the 14th) until 6 p.m. on October 29, one entry per person can be submitted electronically through the Wonju City website.

Through judging, a total of nine excellent works will be selected: one grand prize, three excellence awards, and five encouragement awards, with prize money of 1 million won, 500,000 won, and 100,000 won respectively.
