▲No-Loss Event ▲Busking Performances ▲Free Umbrella Repair and Various Events Supporting Residents' Smart Shopping
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will close the 2024 market schedule by opening the social economy marketplace ‘Kkum Market’ on October 17 and 18, which has received great love from the residents.
Kkum Market is a project that supports stable sales channels and continuous growth for social economy enterprises in Gwanak-gu, which face difficulties in sales due to low brand recognition.
In particular, this Kkum Market will also hold the ‘Social Economy Cheer Up DAY.’ The district plans to express its hope and determination for the growth of the social economy, which is facing policy difficulties, through the ‘Social Economy ESG Declaration Ceremony’ and promotion of social economy enterprises.
In addition, the district has prepared various events such as ▲a no-lose roulette event ▲busking performances ▲free umbrella repair service to help residents visiting Kkum Market shop economically.
Kkum Market operates from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., where you can find excellent products from social economy enterprises such as handicrafts, daily necessities, and food all in one place.
This year, the district also made efforts to support social economy enterprises by operating Kkum Market in various ways.
First, in cooperation with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, the district supported the use of Seoul Culture Nuri Cards at sales booths with stickers indicating affiliation with the Culture Nuri Card within Kkum Market.
As a result, it received positive feedback that the purchasing power of vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income classes was increased, allowing more residents to enjoy Kkum Market without burden.
Also, through the ‘Visiting Kkum Market,’ popup booths were operated at local festivals and the Gang Gam-chan Festival, expanding opportunities for meetings between residents and social economy enterprises.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “With the interest and support of many residents, Kkum Market has established itself as Gwanak-gu’s representative social economy marketplace,” and added, “I hope Kkum Market will be a good opportunity not only to support enterprises’ sales channels but also to spread social values to residents.”
