Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will hold the ‘Dorimcheon Dalbitgaram Festival’ for 9 days from October 18 to 26 around the Dorimcheon area to welcome autumn.
The festival is part of a resident-participation budget project planned and proposed by local residents to enhance the cultural richness of the community and widely promote the beautiful natural scenery of Dorimcheon.
The opening ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on October 18, marking the start of the festival with a congratulatory performance by singer Lee Sang-woo. Along with the opening declaration, a lighting ceremony will take place, and singer Won Mi-yeon, Guro愛 Busker, and the LED B-BOY team will light up the stage.
Performances by Guro愛 Busker will continue for two days from October 18 to 19.
From October 18 to 20, food truck booths featuring cafes and snack foods, as well as flea market booths selling various handmade products, will be operated. Family visitors can fully enjoy the festival by experiencing programs related to the festival’s themes of ‘light’ and ‘nature.’
The ‘Dorimcheon Visit Certification’ event is also noteworthy. Until the 20th, visitors who take certification photos at 4 or more of the 6 designated spots around Dorimcheon and post them on social networking services (SNS) or blogs, then visit the Dalbitgaram Festival operation booth, will receive Guro-gu promotional items daily for the first 50 visitors during the event period.
During the festival, the Dorimcheon area will be decorated with splendid light sculptures. Beautiful light sculpture exhibitions and photo zones will be continuously operated along three walking trails (Osaek, Byeolbit, and Gamseong) from Sindorim Bridge to Dorim Bridge, providing visitors with special attractions.
Additionally, a camping rest zone will be set up, equipped with tables and props to offer visitors a comfortable space to relax.
Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro-gu said, “The Dorimcheon Dalbitgaram Festival is especially meaningful as it was created through direct participation by local residents,” adding, “Through this festival, we will widely promote the beautiful nature of Dorimcheon and Guro-gu’s cultural assets, and provide an opportunity for residents to communicate and enjoy together.”
The festival venue is easily accessible by walking toward Dorimcheon from exits 2 and 6 of Sindorim Station. For more details, please contact the Guro-gu Culture and Tourism Division.
