[Tomorrow's Weather] Cloudy Morning Commute... Autumn Rain Forecast for Southern Regions and Jeju

On Monday the 14th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, with autumn rain expected in the southern regions and Jeju Island from the afternoon.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 13th, clouds will gradually increase nationwide from the afternoon, and most areas will experience cloudy weather from the 14th to the 15th. From the afternoon of the 14th, raindrops will fall in the Chungcheong region, southern areas, and Jeju Island, with rain also expected in the southern part of Gangwon Yeongdong at night. Rain will continue until dawn on the 15th in southern Gangwon Yeongdong, until the morning in Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongbuk regions, and until the afternoon in Gyeongnam and Jeju Island.

Expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 10 mm in southern Gangwon Yeongdong and Chungcheong, 5 to 40 mm in Jeolla (10 to 60 mm in the southeastern coast of Jeonnam), and 10 to 60 mm in Jeju Island. In the Gyeongsang region, expected rainfall is 20 to 60 mm in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and the southern coastal areas of Gyeongbuk, and 5 to 40 mm in Daegu, southern inland Gyeongbuk, northern Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo.

The Korea Meteorological Administration has advised caution regarding facility management and safety accidents as thunderstorms with gusty winds are expected between the night of the 14th and the morning of the 15th in the southern coast of Jeonnam, coastal areas of Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island. Winds will blow strongly at 25 to 45 km/h (7 to 13 m/s) in the outer southern sea of Jeju Island and the outer eastern sea of the South Sea, with waves rising 1.0 to 2.5 meters high, so vessels engaged in navigation or fishing should be cautious.

Temperatures are expected to remain higher than average (lowest 6 to 15°C, highest 20 to 23°C) for the time being. On the 14th, the nationwide morning low temperatures are forecast to be 13 to 20°C, and daytime highs 20 to 25°C. The expected low and high temperatures in major cities are ▲Seoul 17°C and 24°C ▲Incheon 18°C and 23°C ▲Daejeon 16°C and 23°C ▲Gwangju 17°C and 23°C ▲Daegu 16°C and 23°C ▲Ulsan 17°C and 23°C ▲Busan 20°C and 25°C, respectively.
