Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will expand internet and mobile reception of fire-related civil complaints.
Starting January next year, fire facility construction commencement reports and other fire-related building civil complaints can be submitted via the internet and smartphones.
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 13th that the online reception system, which previously only accepted certain civil complaints such as the appointment report of fire safety managers, will be expanded to 18 types including fire facility construction commencement (change) reports starting January next year.
Until now, only six types of civil complaints, such as the results of self-inspection of fire facilities and appointment reports of fire safety managers, could be submitted through the online fire civil complaint center "Safeland" (www.safeland.go.kr). As a result, other complaints required visiting the local fire station in person, causing inconvenience.
To improve this, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters will enhance the system to accept online submissions for ▲fire facility construction commencement (change) reports ▲designation and change reports of fire facility supervisors ▲notification of fire supervisors deployment ▲appointment reports of fire safety managers at construction sites ▲notification of fire drills and education results ▲applications for postponement of fire safety investigations ▲reports of violations in fire facility construction ▲applications for extension of action orders, among others.
Chosunho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "We will significantly improve convenience and satisfaction by expanding civil complaint submissions through the internet and smartphones without the need for complainants to visit fire stations in person," adding, "We will pay close attention to enabling more convenient submission of necessary fire-related civil complaints anytime and anywhere."
Meanwhile, the number of fire civil complaints submitted through the fire civil complaint center "Safeland" increased 1.7 times from 38,259 cases in March 2021 to 63,976 cases last year.
