Hana Financial Group Opens 97th Daycare Center in Goesan

Hana Financial Group announced on the 13th that it has opened the 'Goesan Hana Public Childcare Center' in Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.

Hana Financial Group has been carrying out the ‘100 Childcare Centers Construction Project’ since 2018 to create a child-friendly environment and address the low birthrate issue. With the opening of the 97th public Goesan Hana Childcare Center, the project is one step closer to completing the construction of 100 centers.

The public Goesan Hana Childcare Center is located within the ‘Goesan Mini Complex Town’ in Daesa-ri, Goesan-gun. To preserve the atmosphere of the old village disappearing due to new town development, the center was designed to utilize a large site to evoke the image of a village. It has a total floor area of 949.78㎡ and is a two-story building that can accommodate 122 infants and toddlers. The facility includes nine childcare rooms, a playroom, a courtyard playground, a natural playground, and a rooftop playground, designed to be used according to age and activity type.

At the opening ceremony held on the 11th, Goesan County Governor Song In-heon and Hana Financial Group Vice Chairman Kang Seong-muk attended and toured the childcare center’s facilities and indoor and outdoor spaces.

Vice Chairman Kang said, “In rural areas, some private childcare centers have disappeared due to the decline in the child population,” adding, “We hope that by establishing public childcare centers, we can create a childcare environment where children can be safely entrusted, supporting work-family balance and contributing to solving the regional population extinction crisis.”

Hana Financial Group has invested approximately 150 billion KRW in the ‘100 Childcare Centers Construction Project’ since 2018 to address low birthrate and career interruption issues and to promote coexistence with local communities. The 100th childcare center is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

Meanwhile, as a follow-up project to the 100 Childcare Centers Construction Project, Hana Financial Group is operating the ‘365 Days Always On Hana Care Childcare Center’ program, which provides care services on weekends and holidays outside regular childcare hours.
