Benefits Such as Water and Sewage Fee Reductions and Support for Volume-Based Waste Bags
On the 12th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is accepting applications until the 16th for the designation of exemplary restaurants targeting local general restaurants with excellent hygiene management and good dietary practices.
The county plans to re-evaluate the currently designated 35 exemplary restaurants and designate up to 36 exemplary establishments, which is 5% of the 730 restaurants in the area, including newly applied businesses. Exemplary establishments will be finally selected after on-site inspections to check compliance with the Food Sanitation Act and good diet implementation standards, followed by deliberation by the Food Culture Improvement Movement Promotion Committee.
Designated exemplary restaurants will receive a certificate and a signboard, along with benefits such as reductions in water and sewage fees, support for waste volume-based bags, and priority support when promoting food culture improvement projects.
Lee Byeong-no, the mayor of Damyang-gun, said, “We are striving to ensure that tourists and residents can enjoy a safe dining culture through the designation of exemplary restaurants,” and added, “We hope that many business owners interested in improving food culture will show great interest and participate.”
