"The Teacher Pushed Me"... Words Spoken by a 4-Year-Old Child Awakening from a Coma

Fell from the 2nd floor window of a kindergarten to the outdoor 1st floor, approximately 4-5m

A child who fell from a kindergarten window in China and fell into a coma has sparked controversy after waking up and claiming, "The teacher pushed me."

On the 12th, Xiaoxiang Morning News and Xinchu Daily reported that on the 30th of last month, a 4-year-old child fell from a second-floor window of a kindergarten located in Jiangxi Province, China, and was injured after falling onto the outdoor concrete floor about 4 to 5 meters below.

The child's father said, "Due to the accident, the child suffered multiple injuries including left lung hemorrhage, spinal fracture, and soft tissue damage," adding, "The condition was very serious, and we were told by the hospital that it was critical, but fortunately, the recovery has been good. The child is now out of danger."

Regarding the accident, the child's family suspected negligence on the part of the kindergarten supervisors, but they were shocked after hearing what the child said upon regaining consciousness.

The son claimed, "While standing in punishment at the door, the teacher was watching me," and "She said, 'I'll give you a chance,' then locked me in a closed room in the kindergarten and told me to go down through the window. When I didn't comply, she grabbed my hand and pushed me."

The father, who released a recording of the conversation with his son, expressed outrage, saying, "The fence installed in the kindergarten classroom is over 1.7 meters high, making it very difficult for a young child to climb up alone." The family requested the kindergarten to provide the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the day of the incident. However, the kindergarten reportedly refused, citing that the equipment was broken.

The kindergarten stated that the reason the child was punished on the day of the incident was "because he ate an extra piece of bread." They are also requesting a settlement, offering to cover the child's medical expenses. However, the child's father said, "How can they talk about compensation first without knowing the exact details of the incident?" and emphasized, "The truth must come first."

The case is currently under investigation by the public security authorities, and the kindergarten in question has ultimately suspended operations. The enrolled children will be reassigned to other kindergartens.
