Dongducheon City held a practical meeting of the National Industrial Complex Investment Council on the 10th at City Hall with officials from the Korea Land and Housing Corporation Yangju Business Headquarters and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Paju Yangju Office. Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 12th that it held a practical meeting of the National Industrial Complex Investment Council on the 10th at City Hall with officials from the Korea Land and Housing Corporation Yangju Business Headquarters and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Paju Yangju Office.
The main topics of the meeting included measures to revitalize sales, surveys on difficulties faced by companies wishing to invest, support measures from the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, and the addition of industries reflecting the demand of companies wishing to move in. The attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on these matters.
On the day, Im Kyung-sook, Deputy Mayor of Dongducheon City, stated, “It is very meaningful that the three organizations cooperated to hold a meeting to discuss the difficulties of companies intending to invest,” and urged, “Please hold regular investment council meetings with related organizations to ensure active sales of the National Industrial Complex.”
Meanwhile, the Dongducheon National Industrial Complex is being developed over an area of 255,717㎡ around the Sangpae-dong intersection, scheduled for completion in December 2025, and is progressing smoothly with a current completion rate of 75%.
In particular, to reduce the burden on investing companies, the city provides a 5% subsidy, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation offers up to an 8% prepayment discount, and various tax benefits are available, including a 75% reduction in acquisition tax and a 35% reduction in property tax for five years.
