Saemangeum Authority to Promote MOU Signing with Smart City Association

The Saemangeum Development Agency will collaborate with the Smart City Association to create a residential environment for the Saemangeum smart waterfront city.
On the 11th, the Saemangeum Development Agency discussed cooperation plans for waterfront city development with the Smart City Association, a specialized organization in smart city services, at the Saemangeum Investment Exhibition Hall. This association is a statutory organization under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, established to provide technical advice on smart city-related technologies, propose policies, and suggest institutional improvements.
This discussion was arranged to provide a differentiated residential environment, including smart mobility and disaster prevention, for company employees working in the Saemangeum project area and residents of the waterfront city, and to explore smart city development plans and service directions. The waterfront city is a complex city under development in Saemangeum, integrating residential, business, tourism, and leisure facilities.
The Smart City Association will continue its cooperation to provide innovative technologies from excellent K-Smart City companies for smart mobility, such as a land-sea-air transfer center that integrates land, sea, and air transportation in one place in Saemangeum’s smart waterfront city.
Both organizations plan to promote the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a permanent cooperation system and work together to ensure convenient living for residents.
