Average Competition Rate for Public Kindergarten, Elementary, and Special Education Teacher Recruitment in Gyeongnam is 3.35 to 1

The competition rate for the 2025 public kindergarten, elementary school, and special school (kindergarten and elementary) teacher recruitment in Gyeongnam Province was recorded at an average of 3.35 to 1.


On the 11th, the Gyeongnam Office of Education announced that 768 applicants had applied for 229 positions in the teacher recruitment exam.

According to the provincial Office of Education, in the general teacher category: ▲Kindergarten teachers saw 291 applicants for 9 positions, resulting in a competition rate of 32.33 to 1 ▲Elementary school teachers had 309 applicants for 169 positions, or 1.83 to 1 ▲Special school kindergarten teachers had 52 applicants for 11 positions, or 4.73 to 1 ▲Special school elementary teachers had 112 applicants for 22 positions, or 5.09 to 1.


In the category for teachers with disabilities: ▲Kindergarten teachers had 0 applicants for 1 position ▲Elementary school teachers had 1 applicant for 13 positions, or 0.08 to 1 ▲Special school kindergarten teachers had 0 applicants for 1 position ▲Special school elementary teachers had 3 applicants for 3 positions, resulting in a 1 to 1 competition rate.


For private schools entrusted to the provincial Office of Education, there were no applicants for 1 position at Daewoo Elementary School, and no applicants for 1 position at Saetbyeol Elementary School.


The first round of exams will be held on November 9, with test locations to be announced on November 1. The results for the first round will be released on December 11 through the teacher recruitment section of the exam information page on the provincial Office of Education's website.
