Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Strengthens Customized Support for School Violence Prevention

Operating 439 Wee Classes and More... Psychological and Emotional Support

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 11th that it will strengthen customized psychological and emotional support for students who are victims of school violence.


According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, this year they are operating counseling institutions for students affected by school violence, including Wee Classes (439 schools), Wee Centers (22 offices), and Home-type Wee Centers (2 institutions).

In addition, until February 2026, they are supporting counseling and healing for students affected by school violence in cooperation with Wee Centers, and have designated and are operating treatment institutions to help victims maintain stable school life.


The designated treatment institutions include ▲Yeosu Jeonnam Hospital Department of Psychiatry ▲Gwangyang Heo Yoon Department of Psychiatry ▲Mokpo Jungang Hospital Department of Psychiatry ▲Haenam Woori General Hospital Department of Psychiatry ▲Yeongam Hanguk Hospital Department of Psychiatry ▲Naju Deundun Department of Psychiatry.


Next year, they plan to expand programs such as ▲Mind Talk! TAlk! Healing Camp ▲ customized support projects for students affected by school violence at Wee Centers to help students recover stable daily lives.


Kim Ho-beom, Director of Student Life Education, stated, “We will prepare measures to support the psychological and emotional needs of students affected by school violence and do our best to ensure continuous management of these students.”
